Ján Mucha is a goalkeeper of the Slovak national football team. He was born on 5th. December 1982 in Belá nad Cirochou, East Slovakia.
He started with football in the vilage boy-team „Orion Belá“. Ján used to play with much older boys than he was. He was working very hard to be a good player. It is said he even slept with a ball.
Early Ján Mucha left his vilage football team and moved to reinforce the football club in the town of Snina. His trianer, Ondrej Duda, considered him a fearless and calm goalkeeper.
Not only Ján was the excellent footballplayer but a good pupil of the elementary school.as well. His woman teachers loved him and some of them who had never been interested in sport before started watching football.
His mum didn´t want to allow her son to go into the world. Jan Mucha played for Younger pupils in Orion club in Bela nad Cirochou , his native village where scouts saw him . His father was ready for his goalie career from the cradle. „I trained him every day.“ said. Jan Mucha worked hard on himself. He slept with a ball. When he was learning he was dribbling with one hand on the floor. When he was going to the second class, about 5 years older boys wanted him to play in their club. Jan Mucha was not afraid of any duel. After comming to Snina Ondrej Duda became his trainer who said : „ He was a very good student“.
Jan Mucha started his career in his local club TJ Slovan Belá nad Cirochou. Then he transfered to the town´s sports club Snina and later to Inter Bratislava. He played there for 2 seasons in the A-team. However he didn´t play in any football match. He transfered to the town´s sports club Zilina in summer 2002 and his club won the Slovak league. In 2005 he was rented to the first football club in Humenne. He signed a contract with Legia Warszawa in Poland in summer 2005. In the 2005-06 season he was the second goalkeeper after Lukasz Fabiański. When Fabianski transfered to Arsenal in 2007, Mucha became the first goalkeeper. With the Legia he won 2007-08 the Polish cup and the Polish Supercup in 2008. In January 2010 he signed a contract with FC Everton but he transfered there in August 2010. Mucha made his international debut for Slovakia in February 2008. He played all matches in the World cup 2010. Spracoval: Samuel Ďurinský 6.C
